Another week bites the dust

Can you guess what we're reading in English? That's right, Animal Farm by George Orwell. Animal Farm is an allegory of the communist government, when it was thought of, how it came to be, how it failed, and the evil that ensued. (I felt tempted to say something about Dad given this fabulous, yet scary picture of a pig. Don't worry, I'll refrain.) Ironically we just got finished on the Russian revolution and we even watched Lenin's biography. I figured out that my English and History teacher coordinate their lessons, and it works pretty darn well. I think it's kinda creepy how Lenin's body is not only embalmed, but on display in Russia (The guy's been dead for about eighty something years). Also I love the fact that in Animal Farm the pigs represent the communists, it's just so fitting. Of course now I feel like if I ever meet Stalin in the next world (which I hope I don't) I'm gonna yell that crazy son-of-a-gun's head off! (He's already dead, so I can't kill him.)
Moving on, though, on Saturday I had my first High School Track meet. I only competed in the mile, in the which I shaved my best mile time by 10 seconds, dropping it down to 5:35. I also ran, if I do say so myself, on an injured calf muscle from free sparring, (me and the guy I was free sparring with kicked each other at the same time. My shin hit his knee.) Fig (my track coach) told me that he could tell that I was hurting but I still ran a hard race. Needless to say I felt proud of myself, despite not getting anywhere near even third place which I don't care about.
Responsibility. The number one word that I'm dreading right now. Why you ask? Because of my procrastination I missed out on the information for the meet, and I also had to ask the Vincents for a ride because I could not relay the info to Mom on time. Because I procrastinated on my Dictator essay Molly, Mom, and I did not get to see Urinetown, (the new Downey musical). I'd like to take the time to say sorry, in particular to Mom, who by now is in Florida. Speaking of which I haven't seen Dad since Tuesday, I hope you're all right Dad, please let me know.
You know, this Savior of the World play isn't half bad (don't get any funny ideas Dad, I didn't say I enjoyed it!). It's not half good, but not half bad either. Also Congratulations on your engagement Derrick I hope all goes well for you.
P.S. I came across the omnipotent paradox which states that "Could an omnipotent being create a stone so heavy that even that being could not lift it?" I'd like to know to know your input to that question, because frankly it's been bugging me out lately.
Love from,
Grant
