The Spring of Anticipation
Hi everybody! The last three day weekend of February has already flown by. Like the title of this post, I have much to anticipate. For one thing I have my Track and Field meets to anticipate.
On Saturday me and some of my teammates and coach drove all the way to Diablo Valley, past Brentwood. The reason why was obviously to run for an awful long time. It wasn't much fun running uphill but then again my legs are probably stronger from that experience. Also my friends and I scaled a steep mountain. My calves were burning and it felt like forever before we reached the top. This kind of made me think how hard it must be, spiritually speaking, for someone to get to heaven. It sounds like great talk material, at least if you were there. Anyway so after the long run we went to go eat, and afterwards drove home. On the way back it was interesting listening to my coach, Figeuroa. My coach is definitely proud to be a Mexican and he also said to one of my friends who makes jokes about how much he's a redneck that he's going to marry a Mexican girl. My first Track & Field meet is indeed on March 3, which is not too far away.
Another thing to anticipate is the SAT's/AP Test. I know I'm only a sophmore and I won't be taking the SAT's yet but the more Mrs. Liese, or anybody talks about it, the scarier it seems. On the bright side I have the trip to Argentina to look forward to, and seeing Garit again. Also on Sunday Mom and I went up to the Schofields for Kevin's Eagle Court of Honor. I like going up to Roseville, and I liked seeing the Schofield's after about two years. Although Kevin looks bad from all of the chemotherapy he still acts like the same loveable guy we all know. Also we got to meet Ciara, Lyle's girlfriend. Seeing Kevin's Eagle Court makes me want to get going on my Scouting (don't get any funny ideas, Mom and Dad).
Another thing to anticipate is me being part of the choir for Savior of the World. I'm not looking to it though, primarily because it sounds boring. Another thing to anticipate is the Josh Groban Concert that Mom's taking me to, for my birthday, (mucho mucho gracias madre.)
Well, that's all for now, see ya later folks.
2/25/07
Hey guys! Instead of doing another post I decided to pile on more stuff because this week has more things for me to anticipate. On Friday we got our ballots for junior year. Wow! Time sure has flown hasn't it?! Also Bishop Smeltzer has compelled us youth into the Savior of the World youth choir. Savior of the World was so much better when I wasn't forced into it! Also the things that I previously mentioned above (the stuff about the AP Tests and all that.) seems ever so closer as I'm inching my way into March.
Love, Grant
