A political post
In light of the 2008 election I have found it necessary to assert my stances on the various political issues that call to our day. I have found myself disappointed at the Republican party for what happened to Mitt Romney. I had once naively thought that the Republican party was morally superior to the Democratic party, but I see that I was wrong. I actually thought that I would be politically unaffilated, but I think that I shall stick with the Republican party, but I still will continue my vehment disgust at Huckabee and McCain. Anyway here's a list of my stances on the issues:
- Abortion: Against, except in cases of rape, incest, or where the mother's life is in danger.
- Homosexuality: I'm definitely against same-sex marriage, but the way I see it, we as the American people need to throw the homo's back in the closet and keep them in there. Plus I support the Federal Marriage Amendment
- I'm pro-military, and a realist. I also support unilateralism. There's a facebook group that I belong to whose title best describes my belief: I Believe in Peace Through Superior Fire-Power.
- When it comes to illegal immigration I agree with Ryan's policy, ask him since I don't want to mis-quote anything.
- I'm a bit of a moderate when it comes to the environment. We should recycle and I'm all about raising the Federal Standard of emissions, something that Arnold Schwarzenegger is trying to sue our country for. The Kyoto Protocol doesn't sound so bad but since it comes from the U.N. I'm a little distrustful. I agreed with Mitt Romney on the fact that the United States should have energy independence. It's a stretch, but it needs to happen.
- I am against universal health care.
- I am for organized prayer in public schools. I'm against affirmative action and racial quotas.
- I advocate capital punishment
These are my major stances on the issues of our day. Contact me if there are any more, I know that there are an awful lot of them, but I can only address so much. Anyway as of now I've eaten pizza three days in a row, thanks to the Mother. Mom got me a heart shaped pizza for Valentine's Day which I then ate on Friday, a Trader Joe's pizza for Saturday, and we each made a home made pizza, mine was sooooooooooo delicious!
Love,
Grant
