Political storms are a'brewin'

So after a tremendous week, like last, I figured that the following week wouldn't be as significant. Well not really, since last week was General Conference, and this week, well there hasn't been too much like last week, but there have been some major highlights.

We beat both Enochs, AND MODESTO! Seriously, it was soooo cool! Anyway we won 5-10. We wanted to win so bad! The reason is because in our league we ranked 3rd place, and we were tied with Johansen for 3rd place. We, the Downey team, did not want to be tied with Johansen, as I explained in the previous post we beat them. At the time our record was 4-2, and since Johansen was tied with us that was their record too. So if their record was 4-2, and one of those losses was to us and the other loss came from Oakdale, then I basically came to the conclusion that Modesto hadn't played them too. I was right, and to make a long story short Modesto beat Johansen, knocking Johansen to fourth place. While all of that was going on we beat Enochs.

Other than the above stuff nothing else unusual or out of the ordinary happened. However, I did find a rather interesting video on Facebook that I would like to share with you all. I thought it was rather interesting, and the video itself is pretty self explanatory.

So I have one question for you Ryan, do you still think that liberals are good, open minded people? Because judging by this video I'd say that liberals are anything BUT tolerant, good, or open minded! The only exceptions are any liberal Latter Day Saints members, but other than that I have a hard time believing that liberal people are what they, and Ryan, say they are. While we are on this rather turbulent topic I have something else to share:

I particularly liked this little link, it helps to back up our case FOR Prop. 8. Oh and speaking of Prop. 8 our church finally got the YES FOR PROP. 8 signs. Hooray!
An update on the Prayer request list
  • That Prop. 8 passes
  • That I find enough time to work on my Eagle.
  • That I can keep my grades up.
  • That God help us all through these turbulent times.
Yeah I know, this is a really short post.
I love you all,
Grant
